& Q A Q A Q A Q A What are some of the best aspects of being a professional gymnast/athlete? “Being able to do what I love!” Why do you feel the Pro Gymnastics Challenge is a great event? “It is transforming gymnastics as we know it to a more "fan-friendly" format.” What are some of the differences between traditional gymnastics and the Pro Gymnastics Challenge? “In the Pro Gymnastics Challenge, you get the opportunity to perform skills that would be too risky to put into a ten skilled routine. It is much more exciting for us athletes and for the audience than traditional gymnastics.” What kind of training advice would you give a young gymnast? “Never let anyone tell you, you can't. You can do anything if you want it bad enough!” Paul RUGGERI Q How do you overcome mental blocks/fears in the gym? Q Why did you choose to stick with gymnastics? A A Q A Q A “It took me a long time, but finally I realized that I wouldnʼt get anywhere in gymnastics if I was afraid of everything. So if I get afraid I just remind myself of that.“ “Because I love doing flips, obviously!” What advice would you give a young gymnast as far as pursuing their dreams? “Trust your coach and yourself and together you can achieve anything!” What are some of the most important aspects to concentrate on as an athlete? “As an athlete the most important thing to me is to take care of my body. If you don't take care of your body, you cannot be an athlete! ”
