The Nastia Liukin Cup features the best Junior Olympic gymnasts in the US . It is held the night before the American Cup , in the same venue , to give these up-and-coming gymnasts a chance to compete in a major arena . These gymnasts will go on to be the Olympic and NCAA stars of the future !
The proceeds of the competition go to the Nastia Liukin Fund , which among other things , supports athletes who need financial assistance to become or remain involved in gymnastics .
