It seems as if the first edition of the Philantrepreneur
Journal was released just yesterday but it’s been 2 years!
Where did 2015 go? You might be thinking the same thing
and I have a question. Did you accomplish your goals and
reach key benchmarks? As the year ended did you reflect
both personally and professionally and close out the 4th
Quarter ready to head into a new cycle of assessment?
I am a strong believer in the TQM method – Total Quality
Management which has an emphasis on continuous
improvement. However lately I’ve been running across
organizations and individuals that consider maintaining
status quo as success. I’ve also heard an emphasis on doing
the ‘Strategic Plan’.
It got me thinking, do we realize the impact a
comprehensive planning process can have? If used, it goes
way beyond a Strategic Plan. Let me explain. Strategic
Planning is actually the second step and traditionally
omits the step of innovative thinking that is so critical to
business success. A more comprehensive process has three
components and covers innovation, strategic planning and
operational planning. Here’s a quick overview.
