So you are on the hunt for a new job ? Well , the first thing to know is to set the expectation that the road ahead may not be an easy one , but once traveled , you will feel a sense of accomplishment once you reach your destination .
There are two types of job seekers . One type is the career advancer , the lady or gentleman that wants to stay in their field and look for an opportunity to move onward and upward . The other type of job seeker is the career switcher , the lady or gentleman that wants to move lanes - whether it ’ s a new industry , job field or job function , they are embarking on uncharted territory .

Grab your laptop and look at some job descriptions of positions you are interested in applying for consideration . Time to update that resume ! And while you are at it , update your LinkedIn profile as well . Valid work experience will be your digital profile to help you shine as a candidate online . Use keywords that are included in the job description in your revised resume . And be sure that your resume fits the qualifications of what the job positions you are applying for require . It is a best practice for a lady or gentleman to edit each and every resume for each job they submit a new application . Yes , it is tedious - but one size does not fit all .
