From the sound of the title of this article you may roll your eyes abhorrently while thinking you ’ ve encountered another droll imitation of the famous Fodor ’ s or , in this world of the digital age , Trip Advisor . You may expect more of the same in this column as you would encounter in the aforementioned such as advice on which marble monument erected to past heroes to visit , which of the most popular shows to see , and most inexorably the endless comments from people whom you don ’ t care about and in turn whom don ’ t care about you but nonetheless spew their personal vendettas against any hotel clerk , member of the management , and in some cases , even the gentleman in the hotel bathroom who offers you mouthwash for $ 1 .
Do not fear my friends . I will spare you the slow death of crucifixion and instead will resurrect your spirit for travel and adventure .
My suggestions are not for the fairweather traveler . Instead , these recommendations are for the gallivanting , well-heeled Bohemian who is only satisfied with the enticing and intimate versus the stale and staid .
