The Mental Diet and Optimism
Negativity, like positivity, is viral; it spreads
through contact with others. If you are
surrounded by negative people, news and
things then this acts as virus that you absorb,
which will leach into your physical and
mental self. These things will then bring you
down and affect your confidence and your
ability to climb out the well, as you will have
people holding you down and never looking
for an exit.
Be careful of what you take into your mind,
with whom you are friends and where you go
to hang out. Surround yourself with positive
people who support you and boost your
confidence, and go to places that you enjoy
and make you happy. These are the things
that will nurture your spirit.

You mental diet is also incredibly important.
What you put into your mind will have a
huge impact on your internal confidence. So,
for the next 30 days, don’t watch or read any
negative news stories, by all means read the
headlines to see what is happening in the
world, but don’t go into any depth. Find
uplifting stories, that are there to inspire.
Read books on positive aspects of life, watch
movies that make you smile and laugh and
only put good knowledge into your brain with
what you read. At the end of the 30 days, see
how you feel and how much more confident
you are in yourself.
