brought added problems to a young marriage and
family. Because of the lack of God in my life, I
followed a path of drugs and the lifestyle that
surrounds that kind of living. This brought my
marriage to a division. So at the point of divorce and
the young age of 25, we decided to try one last thing
we hadn’t tried yet.... Church. It was an instant
drawing of the Lord when I stepped in that place. My
life was in such a wreck, but for those few minutes
under the power of Jesus, I knew I had found what had
been missing from my whole life. My first encounter
with Jesus Christ healed me from my addictions that
no other source had been able to cure. When Jesus
revealed to me that I was His son, I became a new man
and started on a journey that changed me forever. As
I began to follow Jesus, He also did a great work in
restoring years of neglect and failure. He truly can
make something from nothing and beauty from
charred ashes.
