Hello and greetings from The Pen Project Team at Jackson Correctional Institution . Maybe you ’ ve been wondering who is working with the 513FREE ministry on The Pen Project ? We are a group of 14 guys who currently reside at Jackson Correctional Institution . We have been working with 513FREE for the last year on The Pen Project as a whole .
Over the last few months , we have met with them on a couple different occasions to focus on this issue of The Pen Project to make it the best it can be for the glory of God . We have discussed design , the vision , and goals of The Pen Project . Our meetings have also been highly relational in which we ’ ve spent time really getting to know each other on a personal level , this has been a tremendous blessing !
As you might imagine , our team is a diverse group of men who all have slightly different interests . Some of us play music ; some of us play softball and workout . Some of us are involved with drama and others are involved with the arts . It is quite a wide range of things , but the one thing we all share is Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior which bonds us together . Though we live on different units , we often get time to fellowship at bible studies and service . We , as a group , also have monthly Pen Project meetings to discuss things like progress , new ideas , and awareness .
We have also had a handful of individuals who worked with us that have moved on to other institutions with a minimum status , truly a blessing from God . These brothers continue to represent God and The Pen Project , spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ where they are at . Though we miss them , we have had the opportunity to invite new spirit filled men into the group and get to know them . This has been a blessing to get to know and work closely with this group of guys who love Jesus on a project for the advancement of God ’ s Kingdom . We request your prayers , and we hope that you are blessed , encouraged , motivated , and strengthened by the contents within The Pen Project .
