The complete list of recipients of the UP Diliman research and creative work grants, classified according to type of grant received, is NEW FUNCTIONS Management of the Research Dissemination Grant Program One of the major thrusts of the administration of Chancellor Saloma is the rationalization of the functions and scope of operations of the different UP Diliman offices and units. As part of this rationalization thrust, the management of the Research Dissemination Grant (RDG) Program for faculty members was transferred, in mid-2012, from the Office of the ViceChancellor for Academic Affairs to the OVCRD. The transfer did not simply mean a change in the office and personnel handling the processing of RDG applications. More significantly, it presented an opportunity for reviewing the RDG Program. Noting that the RDG budget had not seen an increase in the last seven years, the OVCRD proposed that P P4.5M be added to the 2013 RDG budget. With the original allocation set at P P4.1M, the 2013 RDG budget thus more than doubled, for a total amount of PhP8.6M. To make the RDG Program more inclusive, the OVCRD also proposed guidelines for the use of the additional budget, in which the coverage of the RDG has been expanded to juried, reviewed, and documented
