Research Dissemination Partnerships Highlighting
Key Research Areas
In addition to partnerships for research
implementation, the OVCRD has also been
pursuing partnerships for research
dissemination. The latter presents a very good
opportunity for showcasing UP Diliman’s
achievements in key research areas, hence
OVCRD’s keen interest in this endeavor.
One such partnership is with the UP System’s
Center for Integrative and Development
Studies (CIDS) for the compilation of profiles
and statistics o researches on disaster risk
reduction and management (DRRM) in UP
Diliman from 2008 to 2011, which was
consolidated with data submitted by the other
UP constituent units. The compilation was
reported during the CIDS’ Symposium on the
Environment, which was held 30 January
2012. An annotated bibliography of the
researches, totaling 328, was also prepared by
the OVCRD. The annotated bibliography can
be accessed from
Another research dissemination partnership
involved the Philippine Institute for
Development Studies (PIDS), in connection
with the celebration of the 11th Development
Policy Research Month (DPRM) last
September 2013. Given the DPRM’s theme for
2013, “Making Health More Inclusive in a
Growing Economy,” the OVCRD mounted a
poster exhibition titled

The exhibition,
at the UP School of
Economics Walkway, was a compilation of
UP Diliman research projects that analyzed
either the government’s health policies or
societal issues that have significant
implications on health policy formulation
and/or implementation in the country.
exhibition spotlights UP Diliman’s rich
tradition of research that examines health as a
physiological, social and political
phenomenon. As the exhibition shows, health
research in the campus has benefited from the
diversity of its academic
