The OVCRD Report (May 2011-April 2014).2.10.14 | Page 39
The OVCRD Report
the conference provided a venue for REPS
from various constituent units of UP to voice
out their concerns and address administrative
issues related to their roles, qualifications,
tenure, and promotion. These
helped in cultivating an inclusive envi
ronment that encouraged open dialogue
among the REPS, academic personnel, and
University officials.
The REPS are also benefiting from two
Diliman-wide initiatives of the OVCRD.
The first is the intensified campaign for
applications for OVCRD-funded projects—it
was reiterated that tenured REPS may apply as
proponents of these projects. The other
initiative is the “Gawad Chanselor sa
Natatanging Mananaliksik sa Filipino,” which
was launched last February 2014, for faculty
and REPS alike. (Please see Expansion: New
Programs: Gawad Chanselor sa Natatanging
Mananaliksik sa Filipino in the next section
for more information about this award.)
