UP Diliman ON THE CONDUCT OF RESEARCH AND CREATIVE WORK Rationalizing the Underlying Administrative Framework of Research and Creative Work The OVCRD recognizes that a good administrative framework is crucial to the growth of UP Diliman’s research and creative work programs. As such, it is constantly finding ways and means to improve and strengthen the administrative policies and guidelines governing research and creative work in the campus. For the period May 2011–April 2014, there were four major improvements that the OVCRD put in place. First, to streamline the grant application process, the Office launched a wider and synchronized call for proposals for the different OVCRD project grants and the UP System’s Creative Work and Research Grant. Third, a new online Management Information System (MIS) for all OVCRD-funded research grants was installed, to have a more efficient way of monitoring the various programs and projects that receive funding from the OVCRD.
