Around the Campus APRIL CELEBRATIONS BUSY AS THE SPRING BEES April was a busy month across campus. Our month started with filling eggs for the Lion’s Club Easter festivities. Then the residents had to fill eggs for The Orchards Annual Egg Hunt. The Egg Hunt was a huge success again this year. Next, the Peachtree Inn held their annual Palm Sunday dinner with the families. Over 100 people were served a delicious buffet dinner, which included carved ham, baked cod, stuffed chicken breast, cheese ravioli, roasted potatoes, glazed carrots, pea pods, and asparagus. An assortment of desserts were served also. The month ended with our monthly Prayer Luncheon. Please remember the monthly luncheon is open to the public. NATIONAL SKILLED NURSING CARE WEEK The Stone Pear Pavilion will be celebrating National Skilled Nursing Care week from May 13th through the 17th with this year’s theme: “Live Soulfully”. Established by the American Health Care Association in 1967, the week provides an opportunity to recognize the role of skilled nursing care centers, its employees, and residents. We have daily activities planned during the week celebrating our facility, our residents, and our staff, including a kick-off picnic, soul food cooking demo, daily gift card giveaways, “living soulfully” tribute performance with Elvis, and much more! INTERGENERATIONAL CONNECTIONS The Stone Pear Pavilion would like to thank the Allison Elementary Third Grade Kindness Club! With the support of their parents and teacher, Cara McMahan, they visited our residents last month for an afternoon of friendship, crafts and cookies. Kick-Off to Summer Stone Pear Pavilion The Stone Pear’s annual Memorial Day picnic is planned for Tuesday, May 28th at 11:30 A.M. in the back parking area. Residents and staff will join together to celebrate this day of remembrance!
