The Ohana The Ohana Issue 2 Volume 1 - Page 45

So, when you go to Wikipedia and look up Terri, this is how her article starts:

Terri Hardin is a puppeteer, artist, and former Disney Imagineer.

Her first Hollywood job came during her college years in which she built the stillsuits for the film version of Dune and acted as a stunt double for Sean Young. A job on the Columbia Pictures blockbuster Ghostbusters followed in which she played both of the demon dogs at the...........ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ. I'm asleep already.

Yes, this is a description of what Terri has done. However, it doesn't really tell you WHO Terri is. Allow me, in my very limited capacity, to try to describe Terri (God give us strength).

Terri is zany, wacky, funny, amazing, kind-hearted, and is one of the biggest kids I know. And I mean all of that in the best way possible.

The first time I met Terri was at a dinner being held for Ron Schneider, the original Dreamfinder at EPCOT. Terri was here for a race weekend and just happened to walk past as Ron was talking. We all hear a shriek and see this person come flying at Ron, dreads flying, yelling incoherently. She wrapped Ron in a huge bear hug and asked how he was. Then he introduced us. I was in complete shock and awe as he described some of the amazing things she had done: Ghostbusters, Captain EO, Dinosaur (the TV series), and on and on. Could I really be standing in such awesomeness???

From that moment on I knew I had to get to know this woman. Over the course of the next couple of years my friendship with Terri grew and I discovered that Terri isn't like any other celebrity I knew. In every conversation or meeting with her, she always made sure that everyone else was put front and center, even if it meant that she wasn't placed there at all. She's genuinely interested in the people around her, and strives to make you feel like you're the only person around while she's talking to you, even in a crowded room.

This is the essence of who Terri is, in addition to all of the great things I listed above. Most of all, she's an amazing friend and we are VERY pleased to have her with us. Terri was gracious enough to do an extended live chat with our Ohana recently, and has given us her blessing to devote a space in the magazine each week to recap some of the Q&A from the chat and to revisit those words of wisdom smattered throughout.
