This module will provide instruction on the key areas of police psychology that police leaders need to know. This includes
understanding the pre-employment psychological screening process for new recruits from start to finish, as well as other related
aspects of the on-boarding process for new hires. In addition, fitness for duty evaluations (FFDE) will be discussed in detail, including
understanding the threshold for referring an officer for a FFDE, learning how to handle the FFDE process, and knowing potential
outcomes of a FFDE. Lastly, the module will offer strategies for improving officer wellness in police and public safety departments.
