OVERVIEW The New Police Chiefs Orientation is offered by the NJSACOP annually, with the assistance of the New Jersey Division of Criminal Justice and other important partners. This program is designed to offer the new Chief an overview of the topics, information and skills needed to succeed in the critical role of Chief of Police in a New Jersey law enforcement agency. It is especially appropriate for those who have been promoted to Chief over the past 12 months, but all Chiefs of Police are eligible and invited to register. Second -in-Commands are invited to register at the discretion of the agency Chief. THE ACCREDITED CHIEF/COMMAND EXECUTIVE [ACE] CERTIFICATION PROGRAM The New Police Chiefs Orientation has been approved for NJSACOP ACE-COP Certification Program. LIMITED ENROLLMENT The New Police Chiefs Orientation is restricted to sworn law enforcement personnelā€”Chiefs of Police or their equivalent. A Chief may also register his or her second in command. DRESS CODE The dress for classes is business or business casual. Please no jeans, sweats, t-shirts and/or sneakers. LOCATION The New Police Chiefs Orientation will be held at the Monmouth County Public Safety Center, located at 2500 Kozloski Road, Freehold, NJ 07728. 27
