We will continue to support great intellectual empowerment as we are keen to positively change mindsets and re-orientate people in the Diaspora about Nigeria and Nigerians. We will continue to celebrate our heritage, culture, tradition and people who have over time, contributed positively to the development of corporate Nigeria. The Nigerian Voice Newspaper is committed to the positive representation of Nigeria and also the protection of her dignity using the platform of the media. For us, this has become a passionate commitment in view of the negative views and stereotypes about Nigerians at home and abroad. Consecutively, we have successfully published our ninth (9) edition of the n e w s p a p e r, m y s i n c e r e appreciation goes to my Editors-in-Chief; Mr. Ifedayo Oshin and Mr. Sunday O. Popoola who have come on board with so much debt of experience and flair and have done a lot with regards to restructuring and general layout of the newspaper. Thank you most sincerely. I dare not forget the two wonderful ladies on our team: Ms. Virgina Mokoti (South African) and Mrs. Amanda Ibironke (Nigerian) both are handling the Health/Beauty and Fashion/Style Columns respectively. You ladies have been consistent and wonderful, I appreciate you so much. I am glad to announce that The Nigerian Voice Newspaper has a Legal Adviser who will take up all our legal issues. I welcome on board Mr. Yemi Aganga (L.L.B, L.L.M) of Jay Attorneys. Once again, I have to thank my good childhood friend, Prince Afeeze Olugbemiga Director at Pan African Training Institute, who have stood by me and supported the publication extensively because he believes in the dream and shares my aspiration of sustaining a voice for the Nigerian community in South Africa. The Nigerian community in South Africa must unite and understand the fact that no one will celebrate and assist us as a community in South Africa, the earlier we realize this, the better for us. Let us come together and empower each other, in unity we stand. I am using this medium to congratulate the Nigerian Consul General, His Excellency Hon Okey Emuchay MFR (The People's Consular General) on his conferment as the Grand Patron of Nigeria Union South Africa. An honor well deserved based on his performance in the consular desk and his care for Nigerians. I can personally testify to this based on my experience and interaction with him when I was the Chairman Electoral Committee of the Nigeria Union South Africa. His effort towards the success of the election was outstanding and worth praising. Also worth mention is his contribution towards the welfare of Nigerians in Cape Town as testified to by Hon. Mojeed Biobaku, the Secretary Nigeria Union, Western Cape. Also, his quick intervention to deal with the recent xenophobic attack on 23 Nigerians, who were forced out of their homes in Port-Nolloth community Northern Cape as he compelled the South African Police Service, ANC and Municipal government to provide alternative accommodation to the Nigerians. The effort of a Nigerian Mr. Okole Prince Ezeja is worthy of praise. He is an inspiration to millions of people. He has continued to make Nigeria and Nigerians proud. In the last three years, he has single handedly and consistently provided food every Monday and Wednesday morning 9am for more than 300 needy people, old and young in Sunnyside, Pretoria and Hibrow Johannesburg. This is a positive contribution of a Nigerian to South Africa society. Read more about the story. On a final note, I have to highlight the fact that one of the mandates of The Nigerian Voice Newspaper is to promote and celebrate good socioeconomic relationships between Nigerians and South Africans particularly in the South African society.
