You didn ’ t care how many times I lied . I knew you could see things too well . I wish you cared less , or weren ’ t so persistent . Please . Your time is too valuable . I ’ m not worth that kind of trouble .
But you never gave up And you never stopped pushing back . You had every right and reason to . You see something in me that I can hardly discern . I guess maybe I am worth that kind of trouble
If you hear anything enough times , You accept it as a fact , And a fact becomes a truth , And a truth becomes a belief , And a belief can have lethal power . But I won ’ t take that poison Not anymore You ’ ve always known this Now I see it too I am worth that kind of trouble .
