Augment Weapon → Pierce → Implosion Augment Weapon (Tier 1) charges any “weapon” you are wielding with extra energy that dissipates on successfully striking a target to cause additional damage. Concentration: Life Energy cost: Effect: Passive 10 per use. Adds 10+Rank damage to any successful strike. Pierce (Tier 2) increases the hardness of a small amount of material by effectively causing the exterior to be more tightly bonded. Most often applied to bullets or other projectiles, this improves their armor-penetration characteristics. Once applied the effect lasts until dissipated, usually due to impact, that also results in a brief intense flash of blue light (that gets brighter with increasing Rank). Concentration: Life Energy cost: Effect: Active 30 per use. Reduces the effective Armor Rank of any target struck by an affected bullet, etc. by 1 at Rank 1. This Armor Rank reduction increases to 2 at Rank 4, and 4 and Rank 7. 10 eXtreme, 20 High, 40 Moderate, or 100 Low Damage Potential ammunition can be affected per Rank. Implosion (Tier 3) causes the inter-particle space inherent in all things, and hence your target, to collapse with devastating results. Concentration: Life Energy cost: Effect: Intense 70 per use. Causes 10 damage per Rank. 5% chance per Rank that this damage is treated as resulting from an Overwhelming Success, with critical results for the victim. Page 82
