The insect, only visible to those enduring it, bites and/or stings. Although imaginary in form the damage and distraction are, however, very real. Concentration: Life Energy cost: Effect: Active Becomes Passive at Rank 4 10 per use. The target suffers a total of 5 damage per Rank. Has a 10% chance per Rank to interrupt concentration or penalize another Action. However, if the target has a known phobia that can be exploited this becomes automatic. Phantom Reality (Tier 2) surrounds your targets in imaginary purple flames causing them to experience the pain and physical damage associated with excruciating burns. Unless the victim has the will to overcome the urge they will, to the exclusion of all else, try and douse those flames. Concentration: Life Energy cost: Effect: Active Becomes Passive at Rank 7 20 per use. The target suffers a total of 10 damage per Rank. The idea lasts in the targets mind for 1 round per Rank unless the target has psychic ability in which case they have a chance to resist its lasting effects and take other Action beyond trying to extinguish the flames. Mind Wraith (Tier 3) conjures your enemy’s worst nightmares to attack them. This can take the form of anything from a hideous monster, to a carpet of voracious cockroaches, or even a jilted knife-wielding ex-lover. Concentration: Life Energy cost: Effect: Intense Becomes Active at Rank 10 45 per use. The nightmare takes (11 - Rank) rounds until the target believes themselves to be overwhelmed, are reduced to 1 Health, and fall unconscious. During this time no other Action beyond attempting to defend against their imaginary foe can be taken. If the target has psychic ability, then they have a chance to resist the effect and avoid its terrible conclusion. Page 69
