Inflict Pain → Phantom Claws → Umbra Shards Inflict Pain (Tier 1) is a telepathic strike directly into the mind of your target causing terrible agony and mental trauma that depletes Life or Necrotic Energy and interrupts concentration. No mental protection is possible. No physical damage is done. Concentration: Life Energy cost: Effect: Intense Becomes Active at Rank 4 30 per use. The target suffers 5 Life or Necrotic Energy loss per Rank. Automatically interrupts concentration. Phantom Claws (Tier 2) coalesces the very shadows surrounding you to form spectral claws that allow you to open terrible wounds in those you reach out to strike. The physical damage inflicted is very evident. The claws are tangible and hence can attack inanimate targets, however, they remain indestructible by physical means. Concentration: Life Energy cost: Effect: Active, Interruptible 30 per use. The claws last for 1 round per Rank, inflicting 10 points of damage per round, against a single target. You can reach out 10 feet per Rank with the claws, but they can never be out of sight. The claws can be superimposed over the Shadow Weaver’s own hands. Umbra Shards (Tier 3) hurls dark energy out in a cone in front of you that tears into your opponents. You decide the form they take, whether that be knives, shuriken, or other projectiles as you potentially make this into your own signature display. Who knew “playing cards” could hurt! Concentration: Life Energy cost: Effect: Intense 10 per shard. One shard per Rank is created. The total number is decided by the Shadow Weaver but cannot exceed the available Life Energy. Requires an Action check to strike the target(s), with Success chance the same as if an Expert were throwing the “weapon”.
