A volume of 6 cubic inches per Rank of material can be affected in this way, but it can be part of a much larger whole. The effect lasts 1 round per Rank. At Rank 1 it reduces the Material Hardness Rating of the target by one, for example E becomes D, D becomes C, and so on. At Rank 4 it reduces the Material Hardness Rating of the target by two. At Rank 7 it reduces the Material Hardness Rating of the target by three so that, for example, steel would become as soft as lead, or stone as fragile as glass. Phase Transition (Tier 2) allows you to change the frequency of molecular vibration to alter translucency. Stone can become transparent. Glass can become completely impenetrable to light. You can literally see through walls or make a window completely secure from prying eyes. A useful trait when so many other Talents need line of sight. The effect last 1 minute per Rank. Dissolution (Tier 3) takes a selected non-living object and simply causes the molecules to fall apart, leaving behind only a cold “puddle” of what once was.
