Already under Japanese occupation, refugees from mainland Japan, and soldiers
fleeing China, flooded into Korea. Cultural assimilation quickly reached a tipping
point and New Japan was born.
The south is still in disarray after the Tsunami. The threat of violence from
China in the north has escalated. The result is that most the population occupies the
middle of the country, from Heijo (Pyongyang) to Daegu, with centralized Gyeongseong
(Seoul) as the new capital.
