Developing Talents A NecroMech advances their Psychic Talents using the APTitude (Action, Practice, and Training) System in the pursuit of Psychic Points and associated increase in Talent Rank. As with Psycrafters a NecroMech practicing their psychic abilities would require a combination of executing precise mental gymnastics, developing inward focus through meditation, reinforcing concentration, visualization, and ultimately Talent manifestation. Such mental exercises can take hours of uninterrupted time, and as such for the NecroMech who must live with constant discomfort, possible pain, and the need for Life Energy, this is not their path to advancement. They are rather creatures of action. Similarly, no NecroMech would help “train” another. Talents as innate abilities do not need to be learned. A NecroMech simply “knows” what they can do. At Rank 1 a NecroMech has 3 Talents, a Tier 1, 2 and 3 from a single Talent Tree. At Rank 2 a NecroMech gains a Side-effect Talent bringing their total to 4 Talents. At Rank 3 a NecroMech gains a Side-effect Talent bringing their total to 5 Talents. At Rank 4 a NecroMech can take a second graft, adding Tier 1, 2 and 3 Talents from a new Talent Tree, bringing their total to 8 Talents. It should be noted that we have not yet seen what psychic talents could develop beyond Rank 10 although it is postulated that additional or modified grafting could yield interesting results. Page 170
