It does not matter what Talent combination is used, and the use of multiple Talents during a single Encounter, whether they be different or not, does not earn more points. It is simply using their “psychic muscles” that matters. A Psycrafter at Rank 1 starts with 1 Psychic Point (as those without ability, i.e. Rank 0, have 0 Psychic Points). Practice for 1-hour gains 1 Psychic Point . It would, for example, take a completely new Psycrafter just over 12 days to reach Rank 2 through practice alone. Training for 1-hour gains 2 Psychic Points ; the higher the characters’ Rank then the higher the Rank requirement for their trainer. With training from a Rank 4 Psycrafter rather than practice the same character could now reach Rank 3 in just a week. Page 164
