Ash Cruiser - Research and Reconnaissance Vehicle In 1939, a large research vehicle called the Snow Cruiser was built in three months by the Research Foundation of Armour Institute of Technology. Built to withstand the harsh environment of Antarctica it weighed 75,000 pounds, was more than 55 feet long, 20 feet wide and was 16 feet tall. This has been used as the blueprint for the Ash Cruiser, albeit with several modifications:       Selective Doron body panels to reduce weight. Hydrogen filled tires. Water canons, tanks, and hoses. Special compartment for a Meta Engineer to provide Superstructure Plating. Metaboost™ Electric Diesel engines. Supplementary vertical lift jets to reduce vehicle weight. DDX - Hybrid Airship Although only at the development stage several designs look to leverage the potential of a lighter-than-air airship in addressing the high gravity conditions of the Otherside. For example, ODESSA are working on the DDX prototype based on the Dornier Do 335 that uses a twin-engine design with props at the front and rear. This allows wing extension with large hydrogen-filled dirigibles inserted between the main aircraft body and wing tips; similar in configuration to a water-based catamaran. However, field testing is going to be difficult! Pag H MM
