Although we’re not sure if they were sweethearts in real life, Paul Levin and Claire Dale played the part in an amateur movie created with fellow Mountain View High School students in 1927. Our archives feature photos of the pair at various filming locations around Downtown Mountain View. In the photo above, we see them in Mountain View’s first city park, which was located along Castro Street between California and Mercy streets. The building in the background is the side of Mountain View’s City Hall, built in 1909 and demolished in 1962. 8
