New Faces on Board Robert Cox VICE PRESIDENT Robert Cox, a 24-year resident of Mountain View, is a member of Mountain View’s Environmental Planning Commission and vice chair of the Old Mountain View Neighborhood Association. He has worked for the preservation of historic buildings in our downtown including the Immigrant House, the Weilheimer House, and the Tied House. Robert has also lobbied for the naming of new streets in our downtown after historic figures, for example, Shumway Lane and Abate Drive. Melissa Wright HISTORICAL DATA COMMITTEE CHAIR Melissa has been a member of the Association since her family moved to Mountain View in early 2018. She has a passion for learning and owns the website marketing company Organic Results SEO. She holds a master of business administration from Webster University and is a new mother to a sweet, energetic boy. She is also the current Mountain View Historical Association’s webmaster. Gil Lane DIRECTOR AT LARGE Gil has been a resident of the Mountain View area for 72 years. He is a product of the Mtn. View/Los Altos school systems and a graduate of Mtn. View High School Class of 1958; he received degrees from Santa Clara University. Gil’s family started a business in Mtn. View in 1931 that later constructed the building and started the original business that became Johnny Mac’s. 6
