2012 2016 L a Vie Parisienne was conceptualized with Chateau de France as the main model. Initially, the logo had been made out of an existing font style which can represent the French taste. T he year 2016 allowed for a fresh flow of ideas which prompted the desire to reinvent the logo. Louis Thevenin’s recent trip to France gave him an update of the latest art trends, which led him to give Mark a reference to a legendary graphic artist, Louise Fili. Inspired by her beautifully crafted works, Mark hand-lettered the restaurant’s new branding and type-face from scratch, which blended we ll with accompanying font, Copperplate. TYPE DESIGN 53
