Record Attempt
As the National Hunt Season is approaching the final hurdle there are still some records to be broken, especially for Lucinda Russell and her team at Arlary.
The record number of wins for a NH trainer based in Scotland is held by Lenny Lungo with 63, and as Voyage A New York went past the post in the lead at Carlisle on Sunday it took Lucinda onto the 59 winner mark.
The record is well within her grasp, but like all records it will take some beating and hopefully by the time Perth Festivals final day in April comes to a close the champagne will be popping on a record breaking season, 5 wins may not sound a lot, but in the National Hunt game nothing is given to you on a plate and every winner or place is hard earned.
Good luck to her and Scu, it would be a great achivement.
