Dr. Alain Moreau is Full Professor in the Faculty of Dentistry (Stomatology Department),
cross-appointed to the Biochemistry Department in the Faculty of Medicine at the Université
de Montréal. He is the Director of Research of Sainte-Justine University Hospital Research
Centre.
Dr. Moreau is an internationally recognized expert on molecular genetics of pediatric
scoliosis and osteoarthritis. His discoveries led to multiple peer-reviewed papers,
international conferences as guest speaker, several awards as well as 28 patents issued and
8 patents allowed, covering 12 diagnostic tests and 1 therapeutic molecule for the treatment
