Dr. Robert B. J. Dorion, BSc, DDS, DABFO is a Board certified forensic dentist,
Assistant Professor and the Director of the Forensic Dentistry Program at McGill
University; Director of Forensic Dentistry, Laboratoire de sciences judiciaires et de
médecine légale, Ministère de la Sécurité publique, Province of Quebec. He is Fellow
of L’Académie Dentaire du Québec, the American College of Dentists, the Canadian
Society of Forensic Science and the American Academy of Forensic Sciences. He is
recipient of “Exceptional Service in the Public Interest” Award from the FBI Director;
the Lester Luntz Award, the Reidar Sognnaes Award of Excellence, and the
Distinguished Fellow Award of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences. He
served as past president of the Canadian Society of Forensic Science, the American
Board of Forensic Odontology and is editor and contributing author to both editions of
Bitemark Evidence. He is currently Vice-President of American Academy of Forensic
Sciences.
Dr. Laurel Chauvin-Kimoff, MDCM, FRCPC, FAAP completed her medical and
residency studies at McGill University and the Montreal Children’s Hospital. An
Associate Professor of Pediatrics at McGill University, she is active in the Divisions of
Pediatric Emergency Medicine and General Pediatrics and is the Program Director for
Child Protection at the MUHC - MCH. She is on the executive for both the Child &
Youth Maltreatment and Emergency Medicine Sections of the Canadian Paediatric
Society, Chairs the CPS Acute Care Committee and is the President of AMPEQ
(Association des médecins en protection de l’enfance du Québec). Her clinical and
research interests include child maltreatment, fever in young children, head injuries
and acute care.

Dr. Sam Daniel, MD, FRCSC received his medical degree from McGill University and
completed his postgraduate training in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery at the
McGill University Health Center, followed by a pediatric otolaryngology fellowship at
the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. A tireless learner, he was recently designated
Clinical Scholar by the American Academy of Otolaryngology. He currently runs a busy
tertiary care clinical practice in pediatric otolaryngology at the Montreal Children's
Hospital, where he heads the Otolaryngology division. He is also the director of the
saliva management clinic at the Mackay Rehabilitation Center, a clinic with an
international reputation.
Dr. Daniel is a recipient of multiple awards including Canada's Top 40 under 40, The
Canadian Society of Otolaryngology Honour Award and the American Academy of
Otolaryngology Honour Award. He was also recently inducted into the prestigious
Triological Society. However, the 2 awards that perhaps speak the most for his
character are: The Montreal Children's Hospital Foundation's Medical Award of
Excellence, and the The McGill Faculty of Medicine Ronald Douglas Naymark Award.
