ultrasound image in the monitor is the same, the problem is to determine if the problem is in transmission or in reception, When there is no image the ultrasound he sector is black, the procedure is to set the gain at maximum value and all slides of the STC at right, if you watch some noise in the monitor the problem is not in reception, because the probe is working like an antenna getting signals around from any device and is sending them to the amplifier, so the problem is in transmission, but if there is no noise in the monitor, it means that the receiver is not able to amplify even the noise and of course the problem is in reception, when we say that the problem is in reception, is not in a particular board, because the echo digital processing which is not included in what is call reception, has to deal with the ultrasound image.
