And we agree. Spring is the time for new beginnings, new tastes and new trips. The Mark Wine Camps are in full force and we are widening our geographical span. The first ever Mark Wine Camp to New Zealand and Burgundy are launching this April and June respectively. (They are already filled but most likely will repeat next year.) Also in the works are plans for an Argentina camp and with our growing representation in Paso Robles a combo Santa Barbara/Paso camp called Barbara Robles. If the Northwest is your thing? Stay tuned for an Oregon/Washington Camp coming soon. In this issue we “parlez Francais.” I talked with Maison Louis Latour Head winemaker Jean-Charles Thomas about life and yes, wine. I also delved a little deeper into the winery in our feature article. Being a bit of a Francophile, it was definitely a fun piece to research and write. We Raise a Glass to Chris Morgan, Divisional Director of Wine and Spirits for Landry’s. And in Uncorked we talk with Grill Concepts’ Kaitlyn Chilletti, “a California girl with a Midwest soul.” And definitely check out the photos from VIBE. The Yacht Rock party in particular! Mark and I are headed to the 11th Annual Pebble Beach Food & Wine Festival and hope to run into you if you are there. In June, Mark, Jeff, Donn and myself will once again careen the cobblestones of Aspen for their 36th annual Food & Wine Festival. I am certain we will see you at the many tastings and late night soirees. Stay tuned for invitations. 1
