Sokol Blosser Vineyards Sokol Blosser is also pretty cutting edge. When they introduced their Evolution White Wine back in 1998, there were very few white blends in the market. Their goal was to make a wine that was easy drinking and chill but was actu- ally really complex. It was a combina- tion of art and sci- ence. In fact, the winery is often questioned about whether the wine, which includes 9 different grape varietals, was left- overs or intention- al. That’s where Sokol Blosser got the idea for “Luck vs. Intention,” that is used on the label. Of course, the Evolution White didn’t really help red wine lovers and so the team went to work on a SPRING 2017 red wine that was along similar lines. The Evolution Big Time Red was introduced in 2012. And the evolution contin- ues. The winery recently added a Brut Sparkling Wine and a Willamette Valley Pinot Noir. Today, Sokol Blosser remains family owned and run. Siblings Alex and Alison Sokol Blosser are at the helm now and contin- ue to make the kind of world- class wines their parents set out to do nearly 50 years ago. 1.Susan Sokol Blosser 2.Susan Sokol Blosser with her children; Nik, Alison and Alex 3.Susan Sokol Blosser with her children 4.Alison and Susan Sokol Blosser 3
