VALDOBBIADENE We then headed due west to Valdobbiadene, the jewel of the Veneto. First stop of the day, the historic Mionetto Prosecco winery in downtown Valdobbiadene. Mionetto is the oldest Prosecco winery, dating back to 1887. Our tour included a tasting of the entire Mionetto portfolio, including their newest Prosecco, which pays homage to their 130 year Anniversary being celebrated this year. We were free to roam the canals and bridges of Venice and the evening’s “big crescendo” dinner was full of surprises, including the gondoliers serenading us while we enjoyed appetizers and Mionetto Cartizze Prosecco. We also celebrated Debbie, Sue and Brenda’s birthdays with cake and Champagne.
