Her big break? “When a sommelier spot opened up on the NYC team.” Her favorite part of her job is simple. “Education of our staff. I LOVE it! “ As- far-as our wine program, it’s fairly straight forward. “We find the best wines available for our guests and our lists are always changing.” she adds, “I taste a lot and read a lot.” Norris was named one of Wine Enthusiast's "40 under 40 Tastemakers in America" in 2015. As for the love in her life; “I love Chenin Blanc.” I can get on board with that. It’s one of my favorites too. However, her favorite food and wine pairing? Well, it’s definitely not traditional. “Bubbles and fried food; onion rings, French fries, doughnuts.” Norris admits she didn’t start as a foodie. “I grew up on Mac n’ cheese and I still eat it when I get home sick, but my comfort food is Italian,” she adds. Norris also loves to travel and has several countries she is eager to explore. “The list is endless. Australia, Burgundy, Rhone, Piedmont, Argentina, Thailand…to name a few” she says, “and I would love to snorkel the Great Barrier Reef and learn how to scuba dive.” She also has a few other things on her “itch” list; “I would love to have kids and jump out of an airplane.” I am guessing not at the same time.
