There is another aspect of Shimamoto's paintings that I would like to highlight: the denial and the contemporary affirmation of the conception of space and time.

Spatiality understood in the classical sense of the term as an element two-dimensional or three-dimensional and with more or less pointed out perspectives, it is completely absent. And this spatial negation is conceptually very different from abstractionism of Kandinsky and his successors and has some similarity with the New Dada.
