Salvatore taught History of Art and History of Fashion in post-diploma courses, financed by the European Community.
Theatrical consultant for "Catania Musica Estate 1995" and "Barocco Week at Militello" in all its editions, from 1994 to 2002.
He was a finalist for the narrative in the 1990 edition of the "Premio Italo Calvino", organized by the magazine "L'indice" of Turin, president of the jury Vincenzo Consolo.
Councilor for Cultural Heritage of the municipality of Militello in Val di Catania from 2003 to 2008, has organized with other people three editions of the "Festival of the Val di Noto".
He collaborated with the physics faculty of the University of Catania, he conceived and organized the "Ettore Majorana Prize".
He founded the "Sebastiano Guzzone" Civic Museum of Militello in Val di Catania and was its first director.
