In his paper ‘The role of symmetry in physics’ the Nobel Laureate in Physics, David Gross, states that "Einstein’s great advance in 1905 was to put symmetry first, to regard the symmetry principle as the primary feature of nature that governs the allowable dynamical laws.” He argued that symmetry principles “serve as the guiding principle in the search of further unification and progress” (Gross, D. J., 1996)”.
