Diploma work of Olexandr "Funeral of the Koshevoy". This work was a kind of tribute to his teacher - Repin - and was the only canvas Murashko on a historical theme. The plot of the picture was as follows: the funeral procession was moving slowly and theatrically. In the foreground - the old Cossack bears a leather pillow with a mace of the ataman, and behind him on the shoulders of young fellows - a red coffin covered with a red. The background in the picture is a dense forest, from which comes the procession. Each participant of this ancient ritual depicts his role, his character and his story in the plot. For Murashko, such a plot will become prophetic, and he will have the main role.
