Flight from the Cave

The sun is my truth,
and that truth is success.
Emerging from darkness blinds me,
and I discover obstacles in my way,
Compounded by the lies of my haters.
These people who doubt my capabilities-
they are my cave,
and they conceal my deepest secrets.
When the light shines on them-
my weakest parts-
it brings out the most pain.
Those chains will always be
the hardest to overcome.
