Where dreams die
Hearts break,
Disappointments increase,
And adulthood blossoms.
This is when you realize that everything you
aspired to become in middle school seems
further to reach than it was before you
even stepped foot into here.
This is the place you realize that love sucks,
and there is so much more to a relationship
than Disney scenarios.
This is the place where you recognize
that when you don’t expect anything
your disappointment rate
decreases throughout the years.
This is when you finally begin to mature,
because life is hard and it only gets harder.
