A Single Key Fits All – Codringtons offer

Codringtons has provided Locksmiths
and architectural specifiers with
solutions for the last 40 years.
Codringtons took a stand at this
year’s Lockex Exhibition to demonstrate
the benefits of its extensive range of
padlocks and cylinders, in particular its
range of Federal Lock Co and Ankerslot
products.
The Federal Lock padlocks have
a broad range of variations giving
Locksmiths the chance to
choose from a number of
shackle lengths, material
types and keying options.
Many of the Federal
padlocks have the added
advantage of using the
same key blank. Twenty-six
different types of padlock –
plus their long shackle and close shackle
variants - can be serviced with a single
key blank. This dramatically reduces the
number of key blanks to be stocked. It
also means that all these padlocks may
be keyed alike or master keyed in the
same suite.
Two other products stealing the show
on Codringtons’ stand were the Federal
Lock and Ankerslot cylinders.
The Federal Ironguard EN1303 TS007
3-Star Kitemarked and Sold Secure
Diamond Grade certified cylinders
provide the best resistance to physical
attack, particularly
snapping. We have not heard of an
Ironguard cylinder defeated by either a
burglar or a test engineer.
Anker Infinity-K cylinders offer
extraordinarily good key security and
master keying capability. Ankerslot has
introduced a lateral magnetic tumbler in
the plug of the Infinity cylinder. The device
is completely separated from the keyway –
so picking and bumping are not practically
possible. The illicit copying of key blanks
by 3-D printing or milling machines is
frustrated by the insertion of the small
nicodinium magnet in the key. This
system has a new seventeen-year patent.
In addition, the key profile
includes the Anker logo
which is a Registered Trade
Mark which never expires.
