Marine grade door viewers

The ‘Nanocoast’ technology
is available from UAP. Using
304 grade stainless steel it
has been deemed the perfect
material and grading for rust
free and corrosion resistant
door furniture.
Nanocoast products undergo
vigorous testing to ensure they
can hold up in high sea salt
concentrated air, acid rain and
industrially polluted areas.
Each product has been salt
spray tested to ASTM B117 for
at least 2,000 hours.
UAP’s Mark Rushton said:
“All the products are made
from 304 grade stainless steel
which contains only 18%
chromium and 8% nickel as
well as having low carbon
content. The reason we have
chosen this grade is the cost
to material effectiveness.
Upgrading to a 316 grade
stainless is considerably
more expensive and is
often only used when you
need a higher resistance to
solutions such as sulphuric
acid and chlorides at high
temperatures.
“Alternatively, downgrading
to a 200 grade stainless steel
will ensure an even cheaper
product but in turn will
jeopardise the corrosion
busting qualities.”

LOW COST KEY TRACKING SOLUTION
»»Securikey, which
offers high security key cabinets,
vaults and key filing systems has
brought in an innovative closed
loop feature across all steel door
models as standard.
The company’s closed loop
system offers a reliable, low
cost solution for homeowners
or business owners who in
addition to controlling use of
day-to-day keys, also need to
monitor the use of specific ‘high
importance’ keys but without
the expense of complex high
tech systems.
Steel loops are moulded on to
the back wall of each Securikey
key cabinet and tamperresistant seals are supplied,
allowing customers to fasten
selected keys in place so they
cannot be removed without
detection.
These loops are accessed
by removing the top hook
bar within the cabinet. It
can then be replaced to
cover the sealed keys to
allow the full complement
of hooks to be used, as well
as providing additional
security by ensuring ‘high
importance’ keys are kept
out of sight.
The number of loops
varies depending on the size
of the Securikey key cabinet,
from three loops in a 20hook cabinet to seven in a
100-hook cabinet.
