At the End of
the Journey
It’s been quite a journey over the
last few years for one of the most
highly recognised lock and security
component manufacturers in the
industry, but DOM-UK is evolving
further with the launch of some
exciting new products and an
overhaul of its company’s branding.

Manager, Lloyd Chitty, about

DOM is owned by Groupe
SFPI, a French group that
specialises in the design
and development of
products and equipment
for the construction and
manufacturing industries.
The UK division, previously
known as RONIS-DOM Ltd,
has sat under the umbrella
of supplying access security
control products, locks and
offering turnkey solutions,
since 1996. More recently, the
company took the decision

DOM brand whilst keeping

inside.
DOM-UK has grown its
business since its move to
new larger premises in 2008.
The 1,200sqm2 Birmingham
based assembly plant is
made up of 30 employees,
with an on-site master keying
department, able to create

The production department
is divided into three areas;
high security cylinder
assembly and key cutting,
industrial lock assembly and
production of the industrial
anti-tilt product range. Every
cylinder order is quality
checked by hand before
leaving the company.
DOM-UK produces a
comprehensive range
of commercial cylinders,
incorporating double and
single access, thumb-turns
and master-key systems,
along with a range of
electronic devices and the
