ABUS 65 Series Master Key
The world’s best-selling padlock from
ABUS, the 65 series is, like all ABUS
keyed padlocks, available keyed alike
of the shelf. However, the 65 series is
now securing further success with the
addition of the 50mm, 40mm and 30mm
sizes being available in master key (MK)
suites off the shelf.
Contained inside a solid brass lock body
is a precision pin tumbler cylinder with
paracentric keyway. A double bolted,
hardened steel shackle with NANO
PROTECT coating assures security against
both manipulative and forced attacks, whilst
also offering high corrosion resistance.
This new benchmark in flexible security
has enhanced ABUS’ offer and proved
a perfect solution for any security
application where multiple users need
different keys for their lockers, but the
school or sports club management hold
an overriding master key should a student
or member lose their key.
The 65 Master Key padlock range has
the triple benefit of fast UK availability,
genuine ABUS build quality and
competitive pricing. Available via ABUS
wholesale partners, the 65 MK padlock
range is available with an RRP starting at
£7.57 exc. VAT

EXPORTS DECLINE WEIGHS ON
MANUFACTURING GROWTH SAYS CBI
The recovery in British manufacturing
continued in the three months to
October, but the pace of growth
slowed as new export orders declined,
according to the latest CBI Quarterly
Industrial Trends Survey.

The survey of 448 firms reported
sustained above average growth in orders
and output volumes. Yet the pace of
growth for both in the last three months
was the slowest for a year. The rate of
expansion in domestic new orders eased a
little, and export orders experienced their
first decline in a year and a half.
Despite this, numbers employed in the
manufacturing sector continued to grow
at a strong pace.
Firms anticipate continued growth
for the next three months, but there are
reduced expectations for total new orders
and exports growth.
Looking to the year ahead,
manufacturers’ plans for investment in
buildings slipped to their weakest in a
year, but in plant and machinery, and
product and process innovation, they
stayed well above average.
The proportion of firms concerned
that political and economic conditions
abroad may limit export orders remained
above its long-run average for the second
successive quarterly survey.
