Yale Launches Major
Summer Security Campaign
At the heart of ‘Operation Safe Summer’ is
a major consumer marketing campaign,
‘Unlock Your Summer’
,
designed to create awareness and
encourage people to lock up their homes so
they can unlock their summer.
The campaign is supported by
promotional activity in press and social
media. Yale’s summer crime awareness
video is on the Yale website and YouTube,
as well as an infographic filled with summer
statistics encouraging homeowners to think
about securing their homes this summer.
David Herbert, Yale Head of Marketing,
said: ”2014 is a World Cup year so more
people than ever will be out and about
enjoying themselves and taking part in
social activities, providing opportunistic
thieves with the chance to ramp up their
activity, with statistics showing an 10%
increase in home burglaries and a 40%
increase in outdoor thefts during the
summer months*.”
Yale is encouraging locksmiths to capitalise
on summer security sales opportunities by
launching promotions and incentives and is
providing sales and marketing collateral on
the Yale Tradezone.

SALTO Systems appoints new
Northern Area Manager
SALTO Systems has welcomed
Alan Horrobin who has joined
the company as a new Area
Manager for the Northern
Region, reporting to Ramesh
Gurdev.
Alan has been in the security
industry for more than 30 years
and has a wealth of experience
spanning many different
disciplines. He has held a
number of management roles
ranging from Vertical Markets
Manager to UK Sales Manager
to Country Manager. He will
now be tasked with developing
the Northern Region and
increasing the strong growth

the area.
