The desire to be the best within the industry, providing NDE ROE warrant locksmiths (as well as other bolt on services) has kept the team on course for the past 15 years. Now, with the targets of achieving 500 locksmiths on the roster - and 200 booked runs a day - inching ever nearer, there has never been a better time to join Teamwork and be a part of the success story; one that has been unfolding since the company established in 2004… ‘Teamwork is all about the people’ PAST Following several years ‘on the tools’ himself, Dougie Levesley used his 20 years of experience and expertise to start building a business around the utility sector, and a group of Non-Destructive Entry (NDE) experts. “The name Teamwork was chosen with care to represent who we are,” continues Dougie. “Transparency and trust combine to support sustainable growth. From the get-go we encouraged common goals, such as collaboration and communication, accountability and appreciation of our fellow locksmiths and their work.” Teamwork set the bar high, at all levels. Understanding the client’s requirements and expectations to achieve ultimate customer satisfaction was the next piece in the puzzle. To ensure this, the team delivers a constant level of service that is based on the key areas and KPIs that are individually stipulated with each different contract. PRESENT Cut to modern day and Teamwork is one of the UK’s largest specialist locksmith organisations for non-destructive entry. With a network of around 250 locksmiths, shutter specialists, carpenters, and dog handlers; Teamwork works alongside energy and utility companies to gain access to commercial and domestic properties up and down the country; even including a dedicated team for the Scottish Isles. Dougie explains: “Our planning department has a vast knowledge of the ROE warrant market and has built an enviable reputation for flexibility in placing our locksmiths in the right place at the right time. We act with maximum flexibility and speed at all times, keeping any disruption to a minimum. This allows us to offer excellent pre-planned bookings but also to cover any unplanned events.” Over the past 15 years the percentage of this specialist work has increased year-on-year. And, with new contracts in place for 2019, the growth will continue into 2020 and beyond. This said, Teamwork locksmiths set their own pace when it comes to how much work they want to take on, and their availability. Yet, while the volume of work a locksmith wishes to commit to is flexible, the support they receive from all the team is unwavering. “Teamwork is all about the people,” Dougie adds. “I know first- hand it can be a lonely profession. Another aspect of being a locksmith – or indeed anyone else that works autonomously, but mostly in trade professions – is not knowing when you will get paid. At Teamwork, we pay on time, every month. It’s the least I can do for the staff who have been working hard for me throughout the month.” LOCKSMITHJOURNAL.CO.UK | MAR/APR 2019 Sponsored by ERA - Total Security FUTURE Teamwork is aware that the warrant industry can be daunting, but sees it as a challenge and, more so; an opportunity, and is ready to support any locksmith wanting to make their next career move through this transition. Dougie concludes: “We are in a fortunate position to offer full support for all levels of expertise. Whether this be one-to-one mentoring or group training. At Teamwork, there is always someone at the end of the phone; or if a locksmith feels they are uncomfortable with a certain style or technique, Teamwork will provide them with the opportunity to buddy up with someone who is more specialist in that particular area, until they feel they’re ready to go it alone.” ‘We are in a fortunate position to offer full support for all levels of expertise’ Teamwork has also recently collaborated with Hickleys who provides facilities for the group training and starter session, all led by one of the country’s NDE specialists.
