‘Bad day’ saved by lottery win!

Warrington’s Ice-Secure is this month’s
Locksmith Lottery winner, receiving a
full installation case from Sash Stop
and a bottle of champagne from The
Locksmith Journal. Having already
received the prize, Andy says he is
“gobsmacked” with the quality of the
equipment from Sash Stop and has
started using it on his jobs. His company
specialises in UPVC and window repairs,
and he said he had previously used
Sash Stop products for post-burglary
jobs but couldn’t believe the
difference of the new kit he won in
the lottery.
Having been in the armed forces
for 14 years, Andy started his own
business just a few years ago as he
wanted the freedom of being his
own boss after “taking orders” for so
long. At first, he wasn’t sure what he
wanted to do as long as he was doing
it for himself, but soon after trying his
hand at locksmithing, he realised that
was the path he wanted to pursue.
Andy is also looking forward to his first
Lockex show this June and has already
registered for Lockex 2018 – Security &
Fire Safety. He said: “I always thought
I was too inexperienced to go to
an exhibition like this but now I
really can’t wait to go and meet
all the other locksmiths, plus Lisa
and everyone from The Locksmith
Journal.”
